John Hepburn works with Friends of the Earth on issues of sustainability. He has a background in manufacturing engineering and marketing. He retired from the "the workforce" at age 26 and in the following 4 years has been a co-founder of two worker run co-operatives Reverse Garbage re-use centre and The Bicycle Revolution bicylce recycling co-op - both of which have strong ties to Friends of the Earth. He's into music, blacksmithing, and revolutionary politics.
